Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Nurse (RN) in providing quality care to elderly residents.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Administer medication as prescribed by the RN or medical practitioner.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and hygiene.
  • Observe and report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of all care provided.
  • Assist with feeding and ensure residents receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
  • Provide emotional support and foster a caring, respectful environment.
  • Assist with wound care, catheter care, and other basic nursing procedures as directed.
  • Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed at all times.
  • Support admission, transfer, and discharge of residents.
  • Participate in team meetings, shift handovers, and continuous care planning.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the nursing team.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Enrolled Nurse qualification recognised by SANC 2–3 years' experience working with elderly patients, particularly those with cognitive or age‑related conditions.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work day and night shifts.
