Agoda is hiring an experienced Backend/Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and fintech platforms in Bangkok. You will own product life cycles end‑to‑end, shaping architecture and driving reliable data insights for financial tech solutions.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, mentor colleagues, and help recruit top talent while delivering high‑performing, scalable backend systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing high-performance backends in Java/Kotlin/Scala.
• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, SQL and data architecture.
• Scrum/Agile development experience.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Experience with monitoring, metrics, and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Think and own the full life cycle of our products, from business requirements and technology selection to coding standards, testing, CI/CD and monitoring.
• Design, develop and maintain platforms and data pipelines across fintech.
