A leading food and beverage services company is seeking a Human Resource Business Partner to design and implement operational intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate should have a Grade 12 qualification or equivalent, alongside 3-4 years of experience in BI Development, specifically with the Microsoft BI stack. This full-time position requires expertise in database management and business intelligence tools, including Power BI, to enhance business performance.

Purpose : To play a key role in designing and implementing operational intelligence and management information solutions for Lynca Meats.
Key performance areas
Install and maintain the performance of database servers.
Develop processes for optimizing database security.
Set and maintain database standards.
Performance tuning of database systems.
Install, upgrade, and manage database applications.
Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
Create automation for repeating database tasks.
Extends the business's data pipeline through the collection, storage, processing, and transformation of large data-sets.
Oversee the process for creating and maintaining optimal data pipeline architecture and creating databases optimized for performance, implementing changes, and maintaining data architecture standards across the required company databases.
Oversee the assembly of large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements and align data architecture with business requirements.
Build analytics tools that utilise the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
Create data tools for analytics for team members that assist them in building and optimising Company into an innovative industry leader.
Developing ETL processes that convert data into formats through a team of data analysts and dashboard charts.
Utilise data to discover tasks that can be automated and identify, design, and implement internal process improvements : automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions
Design and develop and maintain operational reports and dashboard
Identify and resolve data reporting issues
Liaise with other developers and business analysts to optimize poor performing queries
Recommends improvement to provide optimum reporting solutions

Design and Documenting
Generate specs for new reports based on business requirements.
Identify areas of improvement in the reporting process.
Create dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI.
Document all reports, data sources and purpose of reports.
Identify data sources and availability.
Design, build and release reports to relevant stakeholders.
Extract, transform and load data from external sources (Excel, Drives, lists)
Build user friendly data models.
Monitor and track all data reports.
Identify root causes and escalation of failure points
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric) or relevant NQF Level 4 Qualification.
Software development orientated 3 / 4 year degree or MCDBA equivalent (e.g. B. Com Information Systems or B.Sc Comp Sci)
Minimum 3 -4 years of demonstrable experience in BI Development
Experience on the Microsoft BI stack (T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and Power BI)
