Job summary

Curro Holdings Ltd seeks a dedicated Sport Coordinator at Meridian Cosmo City to lead school sport operations from January 2027. You will organise fixtures, budget management, and coach appointments, while ensuring high learner participation and engagement across sport programs.

Based in Cosmo City, the role collaborates with estates, school leadership, and external coaches to deliver Curro's values-driven sports offering and well-run events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Sports Management, Education or related).
• Strong interpersonal and organisational abilities are essential.
• Proven experience in sports coordination, event management and budget administration.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Organise and manage all sports fixtures, tournaments, and festivals.
• Source, interview, and appoint external coaches with signed contracts and standards.
• Track learner participation and engagement.
• Coordinate parent meetings and communication of fixtures/events.
• Oversee function setups with estates team.
• Monitor and upskill coaches to Curro values and professional standards.
• Ensure practices are well managed, punctual and professional.
• Manage the Interhouse programme and the sports budget.
• Plan and attend all hosted festivals and tournaments.
• Coordinate team and class photos.

Key performance areas

• Organisation and management of all sports fixtures, tournaments, and festivals.
• Sourcing, interviewing, and appointing external coaches; ensuring contracts are signed and standards upheld.
• Tracking learner involvement to ensure high participation and engagement.
• Coordinating parent meetings, interventions, and communication of fixtures/events.
• Overseeing function setups in collaboration with the estates team.
• Monitoring and upskilling coaches to align with school values, dress codes, and professional standards.
• Ensuring practices are well managed, punctual, and professional.
• Managing the Interhouse programme.
• Creating and managing the sports budget and tour budgets.
• Planning, organising, and attending all hosted festivals and tournaments.

Qualifications, experience and skills

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Sports Management, Education, or related field).
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including timely communication.
• Professional conduct regarding punctuality, behaviour, and work standards.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
