Job summary

An independent school in Pretoria is looking for sports coaches to start in January 2026. Candidates must have coaching experience in various sports and exhibit excellent communication skills. Job description

Deutsche Internationale Schule Pretoria is an independent school in Pretoria. Our aim is to develop young men and women of great character within an institution of academic and extramural excellence. The school ranges from Grade 000 to Grade 12.

We are looking for sports coaches who meet the following criteria. The position will commence in January 2026 and is remunerated on an hourly basis.

The applicant must:

  • Have experience coaching either Basketball, Netball, Handball, Soccer, Athletics, Swimming and/or Volleyball at Prep and/or College level.
  • Have coaching qualifications and experience in the above-mentioned sports.
  • Support and promote the school’s Christian ethos.
  • Have excellent English communication abilities, ability to speak German is an advantage.
  • If not South African, have the necessary work permit to qualify for employment in South Africa.
  • Enjoy working with children, understand and foster their age-appropriate skills.
  • Behave in a professional manner regarding punctuality, behaviour and dress code.
  • Have a police clearance.
  • Attend all practices, matches, tournaments, workshops and courses, as required.
