Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management, control and operation of the sports department.
• Setting and ensuring the highest personal example to the department through own personal standard of attendance, behaviour and dress.
• Building and fostering excellent relationships with teachers and learners.
• Developing and fostering a positive atmosphere of teamwork within the department.
• Demonstrating a confidential manner in all aspects of work.
• Keeping up to date with coaching practice and leading forward‑planning within the department.
• Establishing common standards of practice, promoting the aims and ethos of the school.
• Contributing to the school's planning and delivery of school activities.
• Developing effective links with partner schools and the community; promoting the school.
• Undertaking professional duties of coaching and work in compliance with school policies and procedures.
• Encouraging excellence in coaching and learning, and developing and enhancing coaching practice of others.
• Personal commitment to education and a willingness to contribute to the values and ethos of the school.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Appropriate academic and professional education qualification from a recognised institution.
• Relevant experience in teaching Sports.
• Current SACE registration.
• IEB experience.
• A clear criminal record.

• The successful candidate will start on 15 September to 15 August.
