About the Role

As a Speech Therapist you will play a vital role in delivering person-centered evidence-based rehabilitation to patients with communication, speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team you will contribute to improving functional outcomes and enhancing quality of life for patients in a supportive and professional environment.

Our group practice at Nurture Aurora in Gqeberha is seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Experience and Qualifications / Training

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• Current HPCSA registration and Malpractice Insurance
• Up-to-date CPD status
• Experience in a rehabilitation environment advantageous
• Special interest / expertise within Neurological conditions
• Valid driver’s license with own transport

Key Competencies

• Good written and spoken English language skills (Afrikaans and Xhosa will be advantageous)
• Willing to work in acute inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation environments
• Awareness of evidence base for interventions
• Computer literacy (assessment and weekly reports for medical funders and Microsoft Office Suite)
• Ability to self-manage; prioritize workload and adaptability
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills within a team setting
• Analysis; decision making and initiative-taking

Minimum Salary
