This role requires the incumbent to grow market share through specifications and build relationships with the building industry professionals, to promote awareness of Tile Africa Commercial division and specify products based on customer requirements and follow through to completion.
Main duties include but are not limited to:
- Identify and source leads within geographical boundaries;
- Secure specifications and follow through projects from concept to completion;
- Grow market share through increased specifications within the various segments;
- Establish, build and maintain relationships with industry professionals’ architects, designers, corporates and developers;
- Must have a flair for design and be able to put concepts together;
- Conduct CPD training sessions with architects and designers;
- Identify and match product/service to customer requirements;
- Know and advise on technical aspects of product and category range;
- Ensure all general documentation and filing is accurate and up to date;
- Follow up on customer stock requirements;
- Contribute to a healthy and inclusive work environment within the division and team;
- Comply with the requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS);
- Ensure compliance with the Occupation Health and Safety Standards;
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Valid driver’s licence, Code EB
- Relevant tertiary qualification is preferable
- At least 5 years’ related experience in the building materials and coverings industry,
- At least 5 years’ experience in specifying to industry professionals e.g. Architects, designers
- Familiar with flooring and plumbing contractor requirements
- Ability to project manage various projects simultaneously
- Understanding of sub floor preparation requirements
- Ability to travel locally and internationally
