Qualifications

• Must hold Doctorate in Podiatry (DPodM) or equivalent recognised in SA.
• Registered with HPCSA as a Podiatrist.
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in clinical podiatry.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat foot and ankle conditions.
• Perform minor surgical procedures and wound care.

About the Role

Our client, a reputable healthcare clinic, is seeking a dedicated Specialist Podiatrist to join their team in Kimberley . This role focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders affecting the foot and lower limb. You will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, addressing issues ranging from common foot ailments to more complex biomechanical problems. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including infections, injuries, deformities, and systemic diseases affecting the feet.


• Perform minor surgical procedures, wound care, nail surgery, and verruca treatments.


• Prescribe and fit orthotics and other supportive devices to correct biomechanical issues.


• Provide advice on foot health, footwear, and preventative care strategies for various patient groups.


• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to clinical documentation standards.


• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and physiotherapists, to ensure integrated patient care.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Podiatry (DPodM) or equivalent qualification recognized in South Africa.


• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Podiatrist.


• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in clinical podiatry.


• Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency in a broad range of podiatric treatments and minor surgical procedures.


• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.


• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development in Kimberley .
