About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Needs Childcare Specialist to join their dedicated remote team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), adapting curriculum, and employing tailored strategies to ensure each child can achieve their developmental milestones. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of various special needs, exceptional patience, and a creative approach to delivering engaging, supportive, and effective remote learning experiences. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for children with special needs in a remote setting.
• Adapt educational materials and activities to meet the specific learning styles and needs of each child.
• Utilize specialized teaching strategies and assistive technologies to support child development and learning.
• Conduct virtual assessments and progress monitoring, documenting observations and providing detailed reports.
• Provide direct virtual instruction and therapeutic support to children, fostering their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
• Collaborate closely with parents/guardians, providing guidance, resources, and support for home-based learning and development.
• Liaise with external therapists (e.g., speech, occupational, physical therapists) and educators to ensure a cohesive and integrated support plan.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress, interventions, and communications.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, best practices, and technologies in special needs education and remote support.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field with a specialization in developmental disabilities.
