Job summary

A luxury lodge in South Africa seeks a seasoned spa professional to blend spa knowledge with hospitality duties, ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Candidates must be fully qualified skincare therapists and have administrative skills, with a minimum of 3 years in the spa industry. Live-in position with a salary between R8000 and R9000 CTC, including benefits and commission on treatments.

Overview

This is an i ntimate, 5-star lodge sleeping 12 guests max. We are looking for people who have previous experience in a high-end 5-star environment, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational efficiency, and have a passion for the bush, hospitality, and people. Were looking for a seasoned spa professional whos ready to shift away from full-time treatments and into a broader hospitality support role blending spa knowledge with reception, hosting, and operations duties across the lodge.

Candidate requirements
  • Must be a fully qualified skincare therapist, with a Somatology Diploma, ITEC, CIDESCO, SAAHSP or CIBTAC
  • Have strong administrative and organizational abilities, as a large part of the position includes administrative / reception duties, hosting, stock control responsibilities, and general lodge operations.
  • Candidates must be experienced in all the desired therapies : Facials, Manicure / Pedicures, Body Wraps and Exfoliation treatments, Massage treatments such as Deep Tissue, Swedish, Hot Stone, Indian Head, Reflexology, and Aromatherapy.
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in aesthetics, beauty, or spa industry. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in admin, customer service, reception within a 5-star property / luxury hospitality / lodge and / or bush environment.
  • Experience in PAN Hospitality reservations and accounting system would be a huge advantage.
  • Clear, confident, and professional communication skills are a must
  • Well groomed & highly presentable
  • Ability to work normal hospitality hours, including shifts, overtime where required, working weekends and public holidays
  • Friendly and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Must be fully computer literate
  • Must be helpful and willing to assist the General and Assistant Managers in any areas required
  • Own reliable transport is essential

Live-in.

Salary : R8000 R9000 CTC. 10% commission on spa treatments + general staff gratuities. Meals and uniform provided. 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off. Medical aid & Provident fund contribution after a 3-month probation period.
