Job summary

A procurement consultancy is seeking a Procurement Manager in Cape Town to develop and execute procurement strategies that enhance supplier performance and drive cost efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and 5–8 years of experience in supply chain, preferably in hospitality. Job description

This role will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that support business objectives, strengthen supplier performance, ensure compliance and governance, and drive cost efficiency across participating hotels. The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Finance and F&B teams to improve procurement processes, enhance controls, and deliver measurable savings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic procurement and sourcing initiatives across the portfolio.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing agreements and service level terms.
  • Build and manage supplier relationships and performance monitoring.
  • Implement procurement controls, policies and governance standards.
  • Analyse spend data to identify savings opportunities and trends.
  • Support inventory optimisation and SKU rationalisation initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, contract tracking and compliance documentation.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Finance and F&B teams.
  • Travel within South Africa as required.
Qualifications and Competencies required:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Procurement / Supply Chain / Logistics / Finance / Business).
  • 5–8 years’ procurement or supply chain experience (hospitality preferred).
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to drive cost‑saving initiatives.
  • Confident working with spend data, inventory systems, and ERP platforms
