Our client is a prestigious luxury brand seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join their talented team at their upmarket establishment in Cape Town.

Requirements


  • Matriculation and further related studies or culinary certification.

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a high-end restaurant or luxury establishment.

  • Salary: Highly Negotiable, starting from R18, per month.


Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop innovative and seasonal menus.

  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met.

  • Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to recipes, portion control, and food safety guidelines.

  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.

  • Demonstrate leadership and professionalism at all times, inspiring and motivating the team to achieve culinary excellence.
