A leading renewable energy company in Cape Town is seeking a skilled Solar Engineer to design and implement solar energy solutions. This role involves coordinating with clients and technical teams to deliver innovative solutions tailored to client needs. Ideal candidates will have a BSc in Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience in solar PV projects and design. A competitive salary based on experience is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of design and project engineering experience in Solar PV.
• Experience in utility scale solar PV projects is a plus.
• Strong project management and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design the Solar PV system as per applicable standards.
• Create electrical single-line diagrams and connection diagrams.
• Conduct technical site visits and collect relevant data.

Skills

Solution-driven mindset

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Proficient with PV design software (PVSyst, Helioscope)

Proficient with AutoCAD or similar draughting software

Project management skills

Ability to multitask effectively

Education

BSc Engineering (Elec) or B.Eng Engineering (Elec) or BTech Engineering (Elec)
