Alignerr is seeking an experienced Software Engineer – Python (Advanced) for a fully remote hourly contract. You will design and optimize Python for production systems, work with real-world datasets, and craft robust data pipelines alongside a consultative, results-driven team.

You should excel in ambiguous environments, communicate clearly, and contribute to high-impact AI projects with flexible, task-based work and potential ongoing engagements.

Formación

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Advanced Python proficiency with emphasis on clean architecture, performance, and debugging.
• Strong experience analyzing real-world datasets.
• Solid SQL skills with complex queries and data validation.
• Prior consulting or client-facing experience and clear communication of thinking.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and optimize advanced Python code for production-level systems.
• Analyze and manipulate structured datasets to support engineering and modeling workflows.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data.
• Review, debug, and improve existing codebases for performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Prior consulting or client-facing experience — you're comfortable reasoning through open-ended problems and communicating your thinking clearly

Nice to Have

• Experience working with large, messy, or unstructured datasets
• Familiarity with backend systems, APIs, or data pipelines
• Comfort evaluating or critiquing AI-generated code and outputs
• Strong written communication skills with sharp attention to detail
