Every decision is purposeful, every interaction impactful, and every product designed to serve our players and partners with excellence. We move fast, stay curious, and constantly raise the bar.
Our mission is to deliver entertainment with integrity, innovation, and impact — because great products can change how entire communities experience play. We're looking for a Software Engineer - Platform & Reliability who thrives at the intersection of coding and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Contribute directly to product codebases (primarily .NET and React) to improve observability, reliability, security, and platform integration.
- Drive adoption of OpenTelemetry (OTEL) by instrumenting services and building clear, actionable telemetry pipelines.
- Partner with engineering squads to design and automate infrastructure (Terraform, AKS, Azure) that scales with their products.
- Champion security best practices across code and infrastructure — from secrets management to least‑privilege access and secure CI/CD pipelines.
- Enhance monitoring, metrics, and dashboards in Grafana, ensuring signals are useful, not just noisy.
- Collaborate with teams on defining SLIs, SLOs, and alerting strategies to ensure world‑class reliability.
- Build tooling, automation, and libraries that make engineers faster and more productive.
- Act as a bridge between product engineering and platform engineering, advocating for best practices while staying hands‑on in the code.
Qualifications
- Solid programming skills in at least one major language — C#/.NET strongly preferred; Go, Python, or others also valued.
- Ability to design, review, and contribute code to production systems (please be ready to share examples of your work).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform), and container orchestration (Kubernetes, AKS).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, ideally Azure DevOps.
- Practical understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP, HTTP, headers, debugging with tools like Postman).
- Knowledge of security fundamentals — including secure coding, cloud security, and identity/access management.
- Experience in medium‑to‑large engineering organisations where speed, reliability, and collaboration matter.
- Curiosity and self‑driven learning — you'll often be the one figuring things out first, then helping others succeed.
Nice to have
- Hands‑on experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, OpenTelemetry).
- Knowledge of databases (SQL Server, NoSQL systems).
- Exposure to Nginx or load balancing technologies.
- A security‑first mindset, with an eye for efficiency and performance.
- Experience collaborating across distributed or remote teams.
