About the role:

The level II Full-Stack Software Engineer plays an integral part in a cross-functional team dedicated to the full software development lifecycle, from concept, to development to deployment and ultimately operating of each product.

At this level, Software Engineers are responsible to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software systems and applications based on specifications, while adhering to established standards. They translate requirements from the business or technical analyst and actively participate with the delivery team in design and problem-solving.

The Full-Stack Software Engineer plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of web applications and works on all layers of the application stack. They are therefore responsible for applying a holistic approach to building solutions that not only offer optimum performance, reliability, and scale but also create great client experience.

Our Ideal Candidate has:

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• 3 years experience with strong back-end Java skills and some front-end exposure (example: React, AngularJS)
• The ability to work independently on mature tasks
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities across the stack
• Familiarity with infrastructure tools like Terraform and Ansible, and scripting with Python
• Experience supporting business banking, credit, onboarding, or core banking projects are beneficial

Education (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Education (Ideal or Preferred)

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology

• Is able to apply advanced knowledge of the following:
