About the role

As a Front-End Software Engineer (Level II), you’ll play an integral role in a cross-functional team responsible for the full software development lifecycle — from concept and design through development, deployment, and ongoing operations. You’ll help build intuitive and engaging web and mobile experiences that bring Capitec’s client-first vision to life. Working closely with designers, back-end engineers, and business analysts, you’ll transform design mockups and functional requirements into dynamic, high-quality user interfaces using React and related technologies. In this role, you’ll be responsible for writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code; contributing to UI/UX improvements; and ensuring that our solutions are accessible, performant, and consistent across platforms. You’ll also take part in design discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement efforts that support innovation and technical excellence across the team.

Education
  • Education (Minimum): Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Experience:

  • 3+ years’ proven experience in front-end software development, project delivery and implementation (in relevant development technologies/language)
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks and technologies.
