About the Role

This role will form part of the Credit Applications Department within our Business Bank, which handles credit applications, including overdrafts, credit cards, and term loans.

Role Title: Level III Software Engineer

The Level III Software Engineer is integral to the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and operation. They design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, ensuring scalability and performance. They also guide developers and stakeholders in resolving engineering problems.

Qualifications & Experience

Ideal Candidate

• Grade 12 National Certificate (Minimum)
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology (Preferred)
• 6+ years\' proven experience in back-end software development, project delivery, and implementation (in relevant development technologies / language)

Experience

• Experience with back-end frameworks and technologies
• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices, leveraging event-driven architectures using technologies such as Kafka, AWS Event Bridge, or RabbitMQ to enable asynchronous processing, real-time data streaming, and scalable system interactions
