The engineer will serve as a vital bridge between the customer engineering team and BW engineering team in Sweden, providing on-site technical support, managing project milestones, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring effective communication and collaboration between BW and HMC, with a specific focus on software and system development of HMC eXD project.
- Understand cultural and procedural difference for both parties.
- Responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of BW eXD system with customer vehicle.
- Support defining customer requirements, system specification, conformance to requirement, vehicle integration and vehicle level performance.
- Communicate the engineering related issues (i.e. design reviews, development, etc.) between BW and HMC.
- Support or participate in test travels with customers if necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Understand BW EDF (or ASPICE) process.
- Understand function of eXD software and system in detail.
- Facilitate effective communication and understanding between customer and engineering team in Sweden, ensuring all technical requirements are clearly understood and met.
- Understand and manage the cultural and procedural differences to ensure smooth project execution and integration of software solutions.
- Provide on-site technical support, including troubleshooting software and system.
- Ensure all project milestones and deliverables are met according to customer specifications and timelines.
- Participate regular meetings with the customer to gather feedback, address any issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, reports, and documentation to the client as required, and obtain concurrence from customer.
- Work with internal and external customers for engineering issues.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, system engineering, or project management role within the automotive or related industry.
- Experience working with Automotive OEM or at Automotive OEM (preferred)
- Experience in powertrain, driveline and/or 4WD systems (preferred)
- Vehicle evaluation and test skills with automotive OEMs (preferred)
