Imagine providing a mental health service that actively battles stigma

Creating opportunities and empowering people to improve their own quality of life

Building counter-systems, and individual and structural responses with a longer view to change health care and social policy

If your values align with ours then we've got an opportunity, in Eurobodalla NSW, you may be interested in!

How You Operate

You're an activist for kindness.

You ensure your practice is firmly grounded in humanistic roots.

You like people for who they are, and just see people as people, noticing the commonality of human experience much more than the subtle beautiful differences between people.

You approach everyone and everything with integrity.

You're creative and socially engaged.

You want to be out in community, creating opportunities for people to support each other, changing the system by focusing on opportunities created by the fluidity and malleability of structures and systems, and using those to create a better tomorrow.

You don't want to change or save people.

You act with compassion, creating the space for others to write their own journeys in their own way.

You support others to make their own choices, and to be accountable for those choices, whether good or bad.

You believe in people.

You see strength and capability in people.

The only labels you're interested in are positive, not limiting.

You circumvent challenges with honesty, dignity and respect.

You speak softly, and change opinions by cutting through to the why, and not just focusing on the what.

You see barriers as challenges and constraints, using them to guide your creativity while fostering chances for others to mindfully author their own stories, mentoring and connecting, without the need to control the outcome.

You value personal growth.

You're more resilient every day, because you know the story of your life is one you want to tell and you actively author it.

Instead of taking criticism personally, you treasure it as a chance to reflect and grow.

You're looking for an environment that is purposefully designed to offer those affordances to you.

Your Future

There's no case management here.

Just working with people, creating opportunities.

People manage their own destinies, we just provide the chance to consider, reflect, identify options, and make meaningful choices.

We believe in the transformative power of the people we work with.

For us, community, cooperation, engagement and consciousness are fundamental elements of strengthening the social contract for maximum social benefit.

We specialise in social prescribing, linking people with physical and mental health care needs to resources, with non-clinical sources of social support within their community.

For us health is about quality of life, including creating opportunities to address any social determinants of health.

We are looking for qualified Social Workers, and allied health professionals who would love to connect people into community, help people find services they need, and improve the ability of community members to access services and supports.

In this role you will help enable clients' self-advocacy and self-management, contribute to improved health literacy and equitable access to services, and enhance a supportive environment allowing clients, their family, friends and carers and their network of health service providers to address the social factors that contribute to rising chronic illness, mental health issues, isolation and loneliness.

If you are passionate about providing high quality, innovative services, coordinating supports and linking people to mainstream services, local groups, opportunities for social connection, and community resources, please contact us to learn more.
