Role: Social Media Manager

Location: Remote in South Africa

Working hours: Monday - Friday | 9am - 5.30pm UK time

Salary range: R25,000 - R30,000 per month

Our client hosts a mission-driven podcast and media brand dedicated to creating a world where everyone can physically and mentally thrive in peace. They bring together leading thinkers, creators and change-makers to speak meaningful conversations and inspire transformation.

They are now looking for a Social Media Manager to join their growing team and lead the digital presence of both the podcast host and the podcast itself across TikTok, Instagram, and other emerging platforms.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, strategic, and execution-driven Social Media Manager to own our client’s content strategy end-to-end. You’ll take full responsibility for managing, curating, and growing their social media channels, while also contributing to related areas like email marketing, video creation, and website content.

Key Responsibilities
Content Management & Strategy
  • Own and execute the social media content calendar across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and additional platforms.
  • Repurpose podcast episodes into engaging, platform-native content (short-form video, reels, carousels, captions, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice and storytelling style across channels.
  • Collaborate with editors, designers, and the YouTube team to align on brand messaging.
Community Growth & Engagement
  • Track performance metrics, analyse engagement, and optimise content for growth.
  • Experiment with new formats and trends to expand reach and audience engagement.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for long-term strategy.
Operational Excellence
  • Ensure timely content scheduling, including weekends when required.
  • Manage workflows across global team members in Canada, US, UK, Holland, and Germany.
  • Bring a self-starter mindset, working with high autonomy and accountability.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience: 3 - 7 years in social media management, ideally within content-driven brands, creators, or podcasts.
  • Track Record: Proven success in growing and managing social channels; bonus if you’ve built your own audience.
  • Portfolio: Portfolio of your work that our client is able to look at.
Skills
  • Strong content management and campaign execution.
  • Excellent writing ability for both short-form and long-form content (social + email).
  • Video creation/editing proficiency for social-first storytelling.
  • Website content management experience (WordPress or similar).
