Responsibilities
- Social Media Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the brands identity, goals, and target audience.
- Content Creation & Management: Create and oversee the production of high-quality, engaging, and visually appealing content, including images, videos, reels, carousels, and stories. Collaborate with the graphic designer, photographers, and influencers to develop aesthetic and brand-aligned visuals. Write compelling and informative captions, hashtags, and CTAs that resonate with the audience.
- Social Media Platform Management: Manage daily posting and interaction on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. Optimize content for each platform based on algorithm changes, audience behaviour, and best practices. Schedule and publish content using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later, Sprout Social, Meta business suite).
- Community Engagement & Customer Interaction: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Foster an online community by engaging with followers, influencers, and industry leaders. Address customer concerns and provide solutions, ensuring a positive brand reputation.
- Influencer & Brand Collaboration: Identify and collaborate with beauty influencers, skincare experts, and wellness bloggers to expand brand reach. Manage partnership agreements, content approvals, and influencer campaigns. Track and analyse the performance of influencer collaborations to measure ROI.
- Paid Social Media Advertising: Plan and execute paid ad campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Optimize ad performance by A / B testing visuals, captions, and audience targeting. Monitor ad spending and ensure a high return on investment (ROI).
- Analytics & Performance Reporting: Track and analyse social media metrics, including engagement rates, reach, impressions, click-through rates (CTR), and conversion rates. Generate monthly reports with data-driven insights and recommendations. Adjust strategies based on performance trends and audience feedback.
- Trend Monitoring & Innovation: Stay updated with the latest beauty industry trends, social media trends, and platform algorithm updates. Experiment with new content formats such as live sessions, interactive polls, behind-the-scenes content, and encouraging UGC (User-Generated Content). Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities to differentiate the brand.
- Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with marketing, graphic design, product development, and PR teams to align social media efforts with brand campaigns. Coordinate social media promotion for product launches, spa services, brand events, and promotions. Support corporate branding initiatives, including CSR campaigns and sustainability efforts.
- Crisis Management & Brand Reputation: Manage social media crises by addressing negative comments, reviews, or controversies professionally.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- A formal qualification in sales / marketing / digital marketing or similar
- At least 5+ years experience managing various social media accounts luxury brands, wellness or hospitality
- Able to show us the social media accounts that you have been managing in their interviews.
- Be able to work in office full time for at least the first 3 months, whereafter it can be open to discussion for a hybrid working role.
- Have a car and be able to drive around if necessary.
- Good time management and organisation.
- Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with an eye for storytelling and brand voice.
- Preference will be given to candidates that have direct luxury spa, skincare and hospitality experience, managing these kinds of accounts for an extended period or consecutively with one another.
- Experience with Content Creation Tools (Canva / CapCut / Hootsuite / Later / Sprout Social & Meta Business Suite)
- Must be available and willing to have a weekly meeting with the marketing and communications department to present and explain the work completed and the work in progress, for the week prior.
