Job summary

A recruiting agency seeks a Snr Project Engineer to manage and coordinate land vehicle projects. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer to define project objectives and oversee technical changes. Candidates should have a BEng in Mechanical Engineering, 5–8 years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of vehicle systems. Excellent communication skills are essential. This is a full-time position based in Silverton, Gauteng.

Duties
  • Manage and coordinate multiple land vehicle projects from concept to delivery.
  • Work closely with the Chief Engineer to define project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Monitor and report project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions.
  • Oversee technical and design changes, ensuring they are implemented according to requirements.
  • Plan and facilitate meetings, client updates, and internal team coordination.
  • Support design and engineering activities where necessary, including technical solution evaluation.
Requirements
  • BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in project management of land vehicles or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, mechanical design, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in the defence or land vehicle sector is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage projects effectively and prioritise under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
