Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Skills Development Facilitator for our Upington center. The role focuses on delivering vocational training, assessing learner progress, and tailoring materials to diverse adult learners to empower participants for workforce entry or advancement.

Qualifications

• Relevant vocational qualification or certification in the specific trade/field of training.
• Assessor and Moderator qualifications (e.g., ETDP SETA accredited) are highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a trainer, facilitator, or skills development practitioner.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience in the subject matter being taught.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in relevant software for reporting and administration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective training sessions based on approved curriculum and learning objectives.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback and support.
• Develop and adapt training materials to suit diverse learning styles and needs.
• Facilitate practical, hands-on learning experiences to build competency.
• Conduct learner assessments and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, progress, and outcomes.
• Liaise with employers and industry stakeholders to ensure training relevance.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of training programs offered in Upington.
• Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for all participants.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in skills development.
