About the Role
The main purpose of the role is to ensure the organisation's compliance and manage the risk in terms of the Skills Development Act, National Qualifications Act, Skills Development Levies Act, SAQA Act, BBBEE Act, BCEA, Labour Relations Act and EEA in terms of skills development.
Responsibilities
- Skills development Facilitation
- Management of Bursary Programme
- Management of Graduate Programme
- Compilation of Weekly and Monthly feedback reports, and attendance and presentation of these report to internal stakeholders
- Collation of evidence required for all DG Claims, and tracking of tranche payments and deliverables
- Management / administering of Seta system
- Knowledge of the Bargaining council and Trade Union Processes
- Consulting with the Unions on a monthly basis
- Development of the Workplace Skills Plan and Pivotal Plan.
- Submission of the Workplace Skills Plan and Pivotal Plan to the relevant Seta.
- Liaising with the relevant Seta to ensure that the client receives its Mandatory and Discretionary Grant Disbursements.
- Establishing and assisting the Employment Equity / Skills Development Committees.
- Advising on the implementation of the Workplace Skills Plan and Pivotal Plan.
- Application submissions for Discretionary Funding and other Grants / Projects offered by the Seta's.
- Drafting of the Annual Training Report against the approved Workplace Skills Plan and submission of the plan to the Seta's.
- Advising on quality assurance requirements as set by the relevant Seta.
- Serving as a contact person between the employer and the relevant Seta.
- Employment Equity Consultation
- Coordination of the process to complete the EEA1 forms for all employees.
- Coordination of the process necessary to establish and maintain the Employment Equity Forum.
- Training the Employment Equity Forum members on the requirements of the Employment Equity Act and their role as committee members.
- Development and maintain the Employment Equity Plan as required by the Act.
- Alignment of the numerical Goals and Targets according to the Sectoral Sub-Minimum recommendation.
- Development of the EEA2 (Employment Equity Report).
- Development of the EEA4 (Income Differentials).
- Online submission of the EEA2 and the EEA4 to the department of labour.
- Four Consultations / Meetings with the Employment Equity Forum per year.
- Maintaining of the electronic Employment Equity Compliance File
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Any Skills Development Facilitation or Employment Equity Consultant qualification will be beneficial
