SUMMARY :

Looking for a Site Technician specialized in Bird Control to join our team in Gauteng.

POSITION INFO :

The successful candidate will work on major client sites — including warehouses and production facilities of global brands — to install and maintain safety-compliant solutions. This role is ideal for individuals who are practical, physically fit and eager to develop skills such as working at heights, scaffolding, netting and general site upkeep.

We seek an adaptable person with strong communication and reporting skills, who's comfortable travelling across South Africa and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12) essential
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
  • Medically fit and certified to work at heights
  • Willingness to travel nationally (Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town and beyond)
  • Physically fit and comfortable working with ladders, scaffolding and outdoors
  • Strong work ethic, discipline and eagerness to learn

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain bird proofing solutions (netting, barriers and related equipment)
  • Assist with site projects including scaffolding, walkways, automated / manual door systems and general maintenance
  • Work safely at heights and comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Travel to client sites, clock in / out daily and submit detailed proof-of-work reports
  • Provide daily feedback and next-day planning updates via WhatsApp groups
  • Support additional site tasks as required (patching holes, minor painting, equipment adjustments)
  • Maintain a professional image and conduct at all times with clients and partners
