Job Description

The purpose of the role is to oversee the work activities of the hygiene team to ensure that the site is handed over to the client according to required hygiene standards.

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for training the hygiene team in using all equipment and chemicals in a safe manner while also responsible for site safety and ensuring that teams perform tasks promptly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team to produce a food‑safe site daily.
• Manage and achieve the budgeted man‑hours and purchases in their section.
• Maintain a hygienic and safe working environment in compliance with statutory safety regulations.
• Manage individual and team performance; coach and develop staff.
• Responsible for all operational activities in their section, including problem solving.
• Maintain customer relationships; meet customer expectations and eliminate plant damage & downtime.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Grade 12.
• Deep cleaning experience is advantageous.
• Chemical stock control experience is essential.
• Exposure to industrial relations.
• High‑quality administrative skills required.
• Flexibility to work at various sites as requested on short notice.
