Introduction

BT Projects is seeking a Site Supervisor to supervise and manage the daily operations of projects on-site. Ensure tasks are carried out efficiently, maintain safety and quality standards, and oversee the proper use of resources to meet project objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate daily tasks, work permits, and safety briefings.
  • Verify cable terminations, earthing, and final connections.
  • Report project progress to the project manager.
  • Supervise and delegate daily tasks to teams, ensuring project goals are met efficiently and on time.
  • Conduct pre-task briefings and post-task debriefings to ensure clarity of responsibilities and gather feedback.
  • Oversee and manage preventative maintenance activities for electrical installations to avoid breakdowns.
  • Educate and enforce health and safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with safety standards during all project phases.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and project updates.
  • Resource Management. Manage inventory of tools and materials, ensuring availability and preventing delays caused by resource shortages.
  • On-site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of site activities, including progress reports, timesheets, delivery notes, and health and safety documentation.
Qualifications
  • Valid Installation Electrician Qualification.
  • Proven ability to oversee and manage electrical installation teams.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in supervising construction team.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, Eskom safety standards, and quality assurance requirements.
