Minimum Requirements
- PSIRA Registration – Grade A (Compulsory)
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
- Security/Risk Management or Policing qualification (Advantageous)
- Firearm Competency: Handgun & Shotgun (Mandatory for Armed Sites)
- Valid Code 8/B Driver’s License
- First Aid Level 1 & Firefighting Training (Advantageous)
- SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) Compliance Knowledge
- Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel & Email
Experience & Background
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in security management or a supervisory role
- Experience managing large teams of guards, supervisors & control room staff
- Strong background in incident investigation, client liaison, and report writing
- Proven knowledge of SLA compliance and contractual obligations
- Familiarity with CCTV, access control, and radio communication systems

Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and deployment of security personnel
- Conduct site inspections, parades, and enforce compliance with post orders
- Maintain operational registers (incident, occurrence, shift, etc.)
- Perform regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with PSIRA, OHS Act, Firearms Control Act, and internal policies
- Liaise with clients, SAPS, and stakeholders effectively
- Investigate and professionally report incidents or breaches
- Manage and audit equipment registers (firearms, radios, PPE)
- Monitor attendance, timekeeping, and disciplinary matters
- Compile accurate weekly/monthly reports for internal and client use
- Coordinate and ensure emergency response readiness
