Introduction

BT Projects is seeking to employ a Safety Officer with experience in the construction environment.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years' experience in the industry and a Health & Safety Qualification.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct / issue based risk assessments.
  • Inspects the site to ensure it is a hazard‑free environment.
  • Monitor and ensure that Toolbox talks are conducted on a daily basis by the team leader.
  • Familiarise with site regulations and ensure that they are being observed.
  • Ensure that all current health safety standards and procedures are always understood and adhered to.
  • Planning and coordinating SHE related training.
  • Enforces safety guidelines and promote safe practices on the job site.
  • Carry out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations.
  • Assist management in carrying out incident investigations.
  • Pile and maintain safety files and other relevant files for projects.
  • Attend monthly meetings when required on behalf of the company's SHE department.
