A Blasting Certificate is essential, along with a strong understanding of regulations and compliance. The position requires travel between locations and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in opencast mining operations.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Blasting Certificate for Surface Mines is essential.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be medically fit.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and oversee daily mining activities.
• Monitor compliance with schedules, budgets, and contractual obligations.
• Supervise and lead site personnel including supervisors and operators.
• Manage performance, discipline, and staff development.
