Job summary

A leading South African contractor is seeking an experienced Site Commercial Manager for a civil/mining project in Polokwane, Limpopo. This senior position involves overall commercial and contract administration, management of claims and disputes, and oversight of QS and subcontractor functions. The ideal candidate should have a BSc in Quantity Surveying and 10-15 years of experience in the construction industry, particularly with NEC contracts. A competitive salary of R11M to R13M CTC per annum is offered.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a senior commercial professional to play a key role on a significant infrastructure project with a well-established contractor.

Responsibilities:

• Overall commercial and contract administration on site
• Management of claims variations disputes and compensation events
• Oversight of QS and subcontractor functions
• Cost control cashflow management and commercial reporting

Requirements:

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification
• 1015 years experience in the construction industry specifically within Roads Earthworks Civils and/or Mining projects
• NEC contract experience is essential
• Proven experience using CCS Candy and/or BuildSmart (essential)
• Sound knowledge of measurement standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to produce accurate reliable and precise outputs
• Strong capability to interpret and assess complex contractual events and their commercial impact

Salary: R11M R13M CTC per annum
