About the Role

This role plays an integral part in our team as the custodian of Personal and Commercial policies, ensuring they are compliant with regulations. You will also be responsible for ensuring business growth and excellent client service at all times.

  • A specialist with high attention to detail, able to ensure FAIS and FICA legislation is met for both Personal and Commercial policies.
  • Someone who fully understands the financial services industry and processes within an FSP environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed sales targets set by the Company, with reviews on an ongoing basis.
  • Source, coach, and develop the sales and marketing team (STI Brokers) and foster team cohesiveness.
  • Provide sales support by liaising with the operations department to ensure integration between sales and sales administration.
  • Develop and implement product and marketing strategies in alignment with the industry.
  • Liaise with relevant networks and service providers to ensure all financial aspects of the accounts are administered correctly.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with service providers and clients.
  • Manage risk related to bad‑debt recovery and monitor market trends to minimise bad debt.
  • Focus on all aspects of sales across various markets.
  • Ensure business growth by meeting sales targets.
  • Develop and manage broker and channel distribution networks.
  • Submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports to management and the Board of Directors.
  • Work closely with group finance to manage financial and business planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Underwrite Personal and Commercial policies.
  • Ensure all clients are correctly covered and satisfied with services and coverage.
  • Communicate regularly with clients.
  • Liaise with all insurance companies.
  • Handle marketing services.
  • Set strategic goals and design business models to meet company milestones.

  • 3–6 years’ experience in selling short‑term insurance products.
  • Experience coaching a team.
  • Full insurance qualification.
  • RE5 certificate – non‑negotiable.
  • RE1 certificate – preferred.
  • Fit and proper, relating to financial services legislation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English and Afrikaans.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
