Shopping Centre Operations Coordinator – Pretoria.
Job Purpose: Training program to prepare for future role as Shopping / Property Centre Manager, with hands-on centre operation coordination duties (not office based)
3x Positions available:
- Queenswood, Pretoria Moot
- Faerie Glen, Pretoria East
- Silverlakes, Pretoria East
Minimum Requirements:
- Professional and well-spoken Afrikaans speaking female, preferably aged approximately 30-50 years
- Afrikaans and English first & second languages a must (Afr & Eng client base), with excellent communication skills in both very important
- Matric / Grade 12 a must
- Dynamic, strong personality and good confidence to communicate on all levels
- Recent related experience in real estate / property / retail / shopping centre / store management coordination or similar highly preferred, with hands-on property operations approach
- Computer literate with good administration and organisational skills
- Good telephone etiquette and strong customer service skills important
- Interested in pursuing a career in centre management, and willing to commit to long term employment with company
- Valid driver’s license a must
- Residing in Pretoria a must (within daily commuting distance)
- Stable employment record and contactable employment references a must (No job hoppers, no unreasonable gaps in employment record, long term employment at previous employers etc.)
- To start as soon as possible
- Work hours: Mondays to Fridays from 08h00am – 17h00pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hands-on centre coordination and centre operation duties for Property Management company, based at shopping centres in Queenswood, Faerie Glen and Silverlakes (not office based)
- Train and develop to prepare for future role as Centre Manager
- Report to Centre Manager and Portfolio Manager
- Ensure Security, Car Guards, and Cleaners are on-site daily and in full uniform
- Conduct daily checks to ensure Centre toilets are cleaned as scheduled
- Report maintenance issues (e.g., plumbing, broken toilets, leaks) to Centre Manager
- Assist Centre Manager with opening vacant stores and preparing premises for tenant viewings
- Serve as a point of contact for tenants and clients, liaising with Centre Manager as needed
- Coordinate contractors and service providers, ensuring work complies with SLAs before sign-off
- Operate as an information desk and liaise with office personnel for message routing
- Assist Centre Manager with obtaining monthly tenant turnover figures
- Perform additional duties as required
Salary: R10 000 – R15 000 gross maximum (depending on relevant experience).
