impact.com is seeking an engineer to own and evolve our Shopify integration, connecting thousands of merchants to our partnership platform. You’ll work on Apps, Web Pixels, and platform extensions, shaping how Shopify fits into our ecosystem and how merchants install and interact with Impact.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll design secure onboarding flows, build the Rails-based backend, and ensure a scalable, resilient integration that stays in step with Shopify releases and evolving

Qualifications

• You've built production Shopify Apps, integrations or platform extensions.
• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, OAuth, Webhooks and high-volume data pipelines.
• Ruby on Rails or other backend experience; comfortable with Rails or Node.js/Python/Java.

Responsibilities

• Own development and evolution of Shopify integration, including Apps, Web Pixels and platform extensions.
• Design secure OAuth flows, onboarding, and frictionless merchant installation.
• Build and maintain Rails app connecting Shopify with Impact's APIs and workflow engine.
• Manage high-volume data pipelines and reliable synchronisation between platforms.
• Monitor health of integration and plan API version upgrades.
