Overview

Energetic, enthusiastic, well spoken and neatly presented young individuals seeking a career within the Retail Sector. Duties including but not limited to: Customer Service.

Responsibilities
  • When passing any customers ensure that you greet them in a friendly manner.
  • Assist all customers in a calm, courteous and professional manner.
  • Direct customers to the correct product section based on their request.
  • Engage all clients through enthusiastic product presentations based on their request.
  • Provide all clients with detailed product information and advice based on their request.
  • Handle all telephonic customer queries in a friendly, engaging, and professional manner.
  • Set‑Asides, IBT's and/or special orders must always be offered to customers and handled according to the correct company policy or procedure.
  • Effective processing of customer transactions on the POS system.
  • Stock & Merchandising:
    • Checking and receiving of stock as per the correct policies and procedures.
    • Packing and labelling of stock as per the correct policies and procedures.
    • Grouping and placing of stock onto the sales floor in its allocated areas.
    • Merchandising of stock on allocated fixtures including, but not limited to, the national merchandising standards.
    • Assisting with the execution of campaigns and promotions.
  • Loss Prevention:
    • Carry out all security procedures as per company policies and procedures.
    • All staff members are expected to be vigilant and/or attentive to the movement or actions of both team members and visitors to the store.
    • All staff members are required to immediately report suspicious behaviour of both team members and/or customers to your line manager.
    • The adequate searching of all staff members leaving the store.
  • Assist and participate in various stock cycle counts, stock on hand checks and stock takes within the store.
  • Ad‑Hoc Functions:
    • You must execute all reasonable assignments as instructed by your line manager that fall within your capabilities, within and/or over and above your job function.
  • If requested, you are to participate in succession training activities, roles and/or tasks allocated to you by your line manager.
