Are you a seasoned Toolmaker with a passion for leadership and technical excellence? We’re looking for a Maintenance- Shift Leader to lead and deliver world-class maintenance solutions that keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in running an efficient maintenance operation which can fulfil the operational and customer demand and meet production targets
- Plan for zero breakdown weekly and reduce production downtime
- Perform scheduled, routine & planned preventative maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime
- Perform effective diagnosis of breakdowns and timely repair of equipment to maximize availability
- Record and document work carried out on all equipment and Machinery
- Analyze issues for root cause and develop counter measures and improvement action plans
- Control and source maintenance tools, equipment, and spares
- Document breakdowns and identify root causes and remedial actions to help identify and resolve recurring issues
- Budget management control
- Setting out KPI’s for Artisans and Technicians
- Conduct FMEA and RCA to solve problems and develop actions plans for planned maintenance
- People and relationship management, lead the Artisans & Technicians on innovative solutions to unique problems
- Apply specific technical skills as required to support specific day to day plant issues
- Roll out OSH Act and regulatory Requirements
- Perform weekly reports on Artisan utilization and department expenditure
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- N6 with Trade Tested Qualification or associate diploma/degree in a technical field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as trade tested Toolmaker with industry experience in plastic injection moulding and metal press tool.
- Computer skills - Proficiency with maintenance management software (CMMS) & Microsoft Office applications
- Proven Leadership Qualities with 10+ year artisan (Fitter, Electrical or Millwright) Experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics/blueprints and use electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes)
- Strong understanding of maintenance principles and practices
- Solid knowledge of the equipment and systems responsible for maintaining
- Knowledge of electrical safety codes and regulations
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems quickly and effectively
