Ivanplats is looking for a Shift Boss Development

Ivanplats (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium‑rhodium‑nickel‑copper‑gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state‑of‑the‑art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”.

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Blasting Certificate
• Mine Overseers Certificate Part A (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Conduct start‑of‑shift staff planning and provide instruction to Miners
• Monitor processes and procedures during shift to ensure compliance to SOPs, COPs, and production targets
• Check stock levels and order stock to ensure that required materials are available for the shift
• Prevent and report breakdowns, damages and wastage of material and resources
• Oversee the health and safety of subordinate staff in the work area
• Conduct end‑of‑shift safety, compliance, and reporting procedures
• Provide feedback to be used in reports
• Coordinate, monitor and supervise the performance of direct reports
