Job summary

A prominent safety management firm in Mpumalanga seeks a SHEQ Manager. This role involves ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, leading training programs, and reporting on safety and health metrics. Candidates should have a relevant National Diploma or BTech degree and a minimum of 5–7 years of experience in SHERQ, preferably in a power or process plant environment. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from R60,000 to R65,000 CTC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in SHERQ.
• Experience in a power plant or process plant environment.
• ISO, OHSAS awareness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report on safety & health, compliance and quality assurance.
• Conduct routine site inspections and auditing.
• Manage plant safety activities.
• Provide induction training to visitors.
• Manage Occupational Health Team and support post-accident treatment.

Skills

Sound knowledge of chemicals in power generation

Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety

Hazard risk assessment
