A South African staffing agency is seeking a SHEQ Officer in East London to ensure compliance with SHE legislative requirements and maintain high standards of safety, health, environmental, and quality management. Candidates should have relevant qualifications and 3-5 years of experience in a SHEQ environment. The role includes conducting audits, safety training, and risk assessments while collaborating across departments for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in SHEQ environment.
• 3-5 years working experience as a SHEQ or OHS Officer.
• Must be computer literate and familiar with SHEQ Databases.
• Must be up to date on all SHEQ, ISO and OHS legislation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all SHE responsibilities are conducted in accordance with OHS act, ISO standards, and company procedures.
• Conduct weekly and monthly safety inspections.
• Chair Safety Meetings and compile minutes for these meetings.
• Conduct Risk assessments and ensure safety regulation compliance.
