A leading airport management entity seeks a Safety Compliance Officer to implement operational plans ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Candidates should have a National Diploma in Safety Management and at least 1-2 years' experience in Safety or Risk Management. The role involves compliance inspections, incident response, and participation in safety campaigns. Preference will be given to candidates from the Northern Cape.
Key Performance Output: The successful candidate reporting to the Senior Safety Compliance Officer will be responsible for implementing team operational plans to ensure defined objectives are met, ensuring compliance to all applicable legislation, international, local and company standards, policies, and procedures, conducting compliance inspections, reporting on and following up to ensure that non-conformances / compliance have been addressed, responding to incidents and accidents, conducting preliminary investigation, root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions, gathering and capturing information in respect of SHE occurrences, incidents, accidents, and non-conformances, participating in implementation of Safety Campaigns, identifying and providing feedback on cost saving initiatives within area of control, building, supporting and maintaining interpersonal and team relationships to ensure a stable working environment and achievement of team objectives, adhering to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures, obtaining information, checking for accuracy and capturing data, and filing documents per procedure.
The position will also be advertised externally.
Preference will be given to members of designated groups that are under-represented.
Preference will be given to candidates from the Northern Cape.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to provide proof of their qualifications, NQF level and credits.
Appointed candidates will undergo Security Vetting within 3 months of appointment.
