Remote (Pretoria-based candidates only)

R 30 000 - R 48 000 CTC

An established IT and Software solutions company is seeking an experienced Server IT Administrator to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the company’s server infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.

Minimum requirements :

• Matric
• Relevant IT qualification or certification (Microsoft, CompTIA, or equivalent)
• 3 + Years experience in server administration and IT infrastructure
• Experience with Azure cloud environments will be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments (2016 / 2019 / 2022)
• Experience with virtualization, networking, and backup technologies
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and / or Linux servers
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
• Administer and optimize virtual environments (Hyper‑V)
• Monitor and enhance system performance, capacity, and uptime
• Implement and enforce IT security policies and access controls
• Manage firewalls, endpoint protection, and vulnerability assessments
• Configure and monitor backup systems (Acronis) and disaster recovery plans
• Support LAN / WAN environments, VPNs, and secure remote access
