SEO / AdWords Specialist
B2B Marketing agency in the North of Johannesburg is seeking an experienced and passionate SEO / AEO and AdWords specialist to join our team. You will lead the agency in the latest trends in SEO and SEM, optimizing our clients’ website presence and performance on search engines.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement effective SEO / AEO strategies that align with business goals.
- Conduct extensive keyword research to identify profitable keywords, personas, and user intent.
- Work closely with the content team to guide keyword‑focused content creation and optimise existing content for better search visibility.
- Conduct website audits for desktop & mobile and implement optimisation strategies.
- Be confident in creating performance reports using Google Looker Studio and provide actionable insights based on data analysis.
- Analyse metrics such as CTR, CPC, engagement rates, conversion rates, and ROI.
- Use tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), SE Ranking, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager and other SEO / PPC tools.
- Expertise in AdWords campaigns: create, set up, manage, and optimise PPC campaigns across various platforms.
- Manage daily and monthly campaign budgets to maximise ROI and meet KPIs.
- Stay abreast of the latest SEO and AdWords developments, trends, and marketing strategies.
Qualifications
- 3‑5 years of proven experience in an SEO and Adwords role at a marketing agency.
- Up‑to‑date Google certification is essential.
- Proficiency in SEO / PPC tools (e.g. SE Ranking, Moz, SEMrush), Google Adwords, GA4, Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console.
- Basic understanding of HTML / CSS and CMS platforms such as WordPress.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret data into actionable insights.
- Experience in B2B industry is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in an understandable format.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
NOTE: This role is to work in the offices of the Agency – not remote. The position is to commence in January 2026. Interviews can be scheduled before the Agency closes for the Festive break on 15th December.
