Job summary

Vestas South Africa is seeking a Wind Turbine Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day performance, reliability and safety of wind assets in the Eastern Cape from our Port Elizabeth facility.

You will manage a multidisciplinary team of technicians and engineers, drive predictive maintenance, ensure regulatory compliance, and report KPI-driven results to senior leadership, while optimising uptime and return on investment for projects across the region.

Qualifications

• Five years in wind turbine operations or renewable energy asset management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Renewable Energy engineering.
• CWEP or PMP certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day performance, reliability, and safety of wind assets.
• Oversee multidisciplinary team of technicians and engineers.
• Ensure turbine availability and regulatory compliance.
• Develop preventive and corrective maintenance plans using data analytics.
• Prepare monthly reports, KPI dashboards, and financial summaries.
• Liaise with authorities, landowners, and stakeholders.
• Oversee contracts with third-party service providers.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and costs.
