Senior Travel Consultant

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Senior Travel Consultant to join our professional team in Cape Town, serving our client Club Travel Ireland.

In this role, you will play a key part in managing complex travel arrangements for international clients, with a strong focus on the European market.

You will be responsible for delivering a seamless end-to-end travel experience, ensuring every booking is accurate, efficient, and aligned with client expectations.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is a travel professional with extensive experience using Amadeus (native) and other GDS systems.

You will bring both technical expertise and a passion for excellent customer service.

This position requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a deep understanding of the travel industry's policies, fare structures, and operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately process flight, hotel, car hire, rail, and ferry bookings.
  • Handle complex itinerary changes, including reissues, revalidations, cancellations, and refunds.
  • Provide expert travel advice to clients, ensuring compliance with travel policies and best fare practices.
  • Manage client communications with professionalism, efficiency, and empathy.
  • Resolve ticketing and booking issues quickly to minimize client disruptions.
  • Stay up to date with airline regulations, fare rules, and industry trends.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years' experience as a Senior Travel Consultant (corporate or leisure, with European market exposure preferred).
  • Proficiency in Amadeus (native) and GDS systems is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of international fare structures, airline policies, and ticketing procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with a customer-first mindset.
  • High level of accuracy, organisation, and the ability to multitask under pressure.
