Overview

Our client, a leading Independent Power Producer, is seeking an experienced Senior Transactor to support large-scale renewable energy projects from bid stage through to financial close. The role requires strong financial modelling skills, commercial structuring expertise, and proven IPP sector experience within South Africa’s REIPPPP framework.

Responsibilities
  • Lead transactions from bid submission to financial close within REIPPPP and private PPA frameworks.
  • Build, review, and optimize detailed financial models for renewable energy projects.
  • Support bid strategy, financial structuring, and risk assessments.
  • Negotiate with lenders, investors, and stakeholders to secure project financing.
  • Collaborate with technical, legal, and development teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide strategic advice on funding structures, market conditions, and investor appetite.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years’ IPP experience, specifically in South Africa’s REIPPPP environment.
  • Strong track record in transactions from bid to financial close.
  • Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills.
  • Deep knowledge of renewable project financing, debt/equity structures, and PPA frameworks.
