Job summary

Execustaff is seeking a Toolroom Manager in KwaZulu-Natal, West of Durban to lead the tooling, fixture, jig and CNC machining capability. The role covers design review, manufacture, production support, breakdown repairs and continuous improvement to meet production and quality requirements.

The successful candidate will have a trade test in Tool Jig & Die Making and a related Diploma, with substantial automotive experience and strong leadership in tooling projects and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Trade Tested Tool Jig & Die Maker required.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Production Management/Project Management or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation and performance of the Toolroom and CNC machining function.
• Lead design reviews for new stamping tools, checking fixtures, welding jigs and tooling."
• Oversee tooling lifecycle from design through machining, assembly and handover to Production."
• Coordinate CNC programmers and tool designers to ensure capacity is optimised.
• Control tool/fixture refurbishment, repairs and engineering changes.
• Ensure documentation, drawings, programmes and maintenance records are up to date and traceable.
