Position Details
- Experience: 6‑8 Years related experience
- Contract Period: November 1 2025 – December 31 2028
- Location: Hybrid – Midrand / Menlyn / Rosslyn / Home Office rotation
- Team: RetailerHUB – Dealer Domain (Central communication layer for international dealer network)
- Citizenship: South African citizens/residents preferred (valid work permit holders considered)
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Relevant IT Degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience: 5 years in testing/automation with agile experience
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record in team management and stakeholder collaboration
Core Technical Expertise (Mandatory)
- Systems Engineering: Understanding of systems engineering concepts and methodologies
- Team Leadership: Managing a team of Test Analysts within the DevOps environment
- Test Automation: Proficiency with Cypress framework for front‑end testing
- Modern Frameworks: Experience with Quarkus and Spring Boot technologies
- DevOps Tools: Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Apache Kafka
- Monitoring Systems: Knowledge of Kibana and Grafana platforms
- Process Analysis: Ability to analyze processes from start to finish
- Test Strategy: Technical test case creation and script feasibility analysis
- Quality Assurance: Requirement review and static analysis capabilities
- Agile Responsibilities: Additional duties as per Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

Key Responsibilities: Test Leadership & Strategy
- Strategic Planning: Define and implement comprehensive test plans on projects
- Team Coordination: Act as the single point of contact between Developers and Testers
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Team Lead Stakeholders, IT PO and broader team on testing topics
- Process Optimization: Set up and track lessons‑learnt sheets related to test topics
- Quality Gates: Ensure entry/exit criteria for all test phases are met in time
Automation & Execution
- Test Execution: Lead test execution and defect capture processes
- Automation Maintenance: Maintain and optimise automation test packs
- Regression Testing: Daily execution and reporting on automated regression packs
- Developer Support: Assist with Developer (REST layer) unit‑testing automation
- Manual Testing: Support manual execution of test cases and defect retesting when required
Project Management & Reporting
- Test Planning: Planning and effort estimation for test case execution
- Test Case Management: Plan, organise and support test case creation
- Data Coordination: Coordinate test data creation with developers and test analysts
- Defect Management: Follow up on defect fixes identified during test execution
- Requirements Tracking: Track new/changed requirements and ensure testing coverage
- Reporting Excellence: Prepare and communicate test reports during SIT and UAT phases
Communication & Escalation
- Issue Management: Managing and communicating issues effectively
- Escalation Process: Escalate deviations in plan to Project Lead / DevOps Lead
- Resource Optimization: Ensure project time allocated to testing is utilised efficiently
- Stakeholder Updates: Provide detailed and accurate reporting to stakeholders
