Job summary

Hire Hangar Global is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant to lead ASC 842 lease accounting, 409A valuation coordination, and stock-based compensation entries. You will act as the primary liaison with external auditors and support US GAAP financial statements.

The role requires hands-on ASC 842 experience, Big Four or equivalent public accounting background, and strong proficiency with ERP systems and Excel. Remote work with US time-zone alignment is supported.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience with US GAAP
• Direct ASC 842 lease accounting experience
• Exposure to 409A valuations and ASC 718 stock-based compensation
• Public accounting background or experience at a US company/startup

Responsibilities

• Own lease accounting under ASC 842 - classifications, ROU assets/liabilities, disclosures
• Coordinate 409A valuation processes and review draft reports
• Prepare and record stock-based compensation entries under ASC 718 and maintain schedules
• Manage month-end and year-end close, journals, accruals, reconciliations, close checklists
• Prepare technical accounting memos and audit-ready documentation for complex transactions
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors on lease and equity accounting areas
• Assist with US GAAP financial statement preparation and disclosures
• Collaborate with US-based finance leadership and stakeholders
